“Back to Basics: The Road to Saving Education in Israel (at no additional cost)” was published in Hebrew in April 2008 by Yedioth Achronot and has received positive press coverage. The photos above show the two co-authors of the book taking their first step in the Israeli education system - Miri Wilf as a teacher and myself as a student.

Appreciative and even emotional responses continue to flow in every day as teachers and principals find that the book speaks of the real problems they face and offers practical solutions that could be implemented immediately.

Since the book’s publication I have been meeting with principals and teachers, collectively and individually, to speak about the book. The responses to the talk has been enthusiastic with many teachers expressing their frustration with the current situation and their hopes that “those up there” will take notice of their real problems and implement targeted and real solutions.
